Hey, There! I’m Christine!

My name is Christine Lombard, and I’m thrilled to be joining the amazing team at Event Industry Marketing by Beatcreative as their new blogging and social media specialist. As a social media specialist, I will be building and executing social media strategy through competitive and audience research. My job entails generating and sharing daily content that builds meaningful connections with your audience, while also setting up and optimizing your company pages within each relevant social media platform. I will create copy for your company website and blog that is geared toward maximizing your search engine optimization (SEO), and will develop a continuous dialogue with reputable community members to stimulate the conversation about your brand.

 

About Me

Originally from Cape Town, South Africa, I have an undergraduate degree in Accounting and a Masters in Marketing from Stellenbosch University. I have been fortunate enough to travel the world, learning about and discovering new places. I have completed internships in London and Cape Town in public relations and SEO, and I have worked for the largest television production company in South Africa as a social media manager for one of biggest morning shows. I have previously worked with numerous brands like Lindt Master Chocolateers and Turkish Airlines – and now I get to work with you!

 

What made you choose Event Industry Marketing?

Over the course of my marketing career, I have learned what to look for when deciding on whether or not to work with a specific company. As I researched Michelle and her wonderful team, I became increasingly excited about the opportunity to work with such a spirited bunch! I couldn’t find a single negative review online – on the contrary, everyone loved working with them. This was definitely one of the easiest decisions that I’ve ever had to make.

 

What do you hope to bring to the team?

I have a very diverse social media background, having worked with so many different brands, big and small, in all different industries. I have a solid understanding of how each social media channel works and how to optimize content so that it is engaging on those channels. I am Google Analytics and Adwords certified, so when it comes to writing blogs full of good SEO juice, I’m your girl. Lastly, I always have a smile on my face, I’m detail- and customer-oriented, and I am great at multitasking!
